Presented for your consideration is this genuine WW2 KA-BAR Fighting Utility belt knife commonly referred to as the "Polished Commando". This original WW-2 era American fighting knife was manufactured by the famous KA-BAR company and is known as the “KA-BAR Commando”. Privately manufactured during the war, these handy knives were sold to the American servicemen in need of an all-purpose fighting/survival knife. Measures approximately 10.5" long with the blade being 6". The Guard is marked KA-BAR OLEAN,NY. Handle is leather stacked with 4 grooves and brown marbled Bakelite on both ends. The Tang is slake peened at the butt. Sheath is the original and in very nice condition. Blade edge appears to have been sharpened improperly and needs a little love. A great set.
