Description
Here's a WW2 handmade Fighting Knife with handmade sheath, both done in the "Theater". The knife looks like a factory Mark 2 blade from a KA-BAR or similar and was rehandled with Lexan and Aluminum. The blade appears to have broken off and was welded back together with the guard. It's very solid and hard to know if it was done during or post-War. Knife measures 12.5" long with the blade being 7" and was blued. To me, the Sheath is the star of this set. It's made of aluminum sheet from an airplane and is put together with aircraft rivets, not pop rivets. There is a thick Lexan spacer serving as the welt. Shaped like the classic WW2 leather sheaths made in the Theater. A great set, even with the repaired knife. Guaranteed top please the new owner or I'll buy it back. Check my Feedback.
